But its important to know after two months of waiting, the 2022 KCSE candidates are now applying and revise for courses in different universities across the nation through Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
When launching the KUCCPS portal, Education CS, Machogu confirmed that the government will provide both government scholarships and loans for KCSE candidates who will join public universities while those join private universities will only be eligible for Government loans.

According to KUCCPS portal, 39 Public Universities and 30 private universities are accredited for Higher Educations and Loan Board (HELB) loans.
Further, 189 public colleges under the Ministry of Education are eligible for sponsorship and HELB loans.
Additionally, seven public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) were included for sponsorship.

Here are various universities offering affordable Bachelor courses in Kenya.
1) Bachelor in Nursing
For many students looking to pursue a career in the health sciences, the bachelor of science in nursing is another employable course.
A mean grade of C+ corresponds to the lowest cluster point.
The least expensive university offering the program is the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), which charges an annual price of Ksh188,200. The most expensive institution is Daystar University, which charges an annual fee of Ksh340,000.
At Ksh229,450, Ksh251,700, and Ksh275,400, respectively, St. Paul’s University, Presbyterian University, South Eastern Kenya University, and Pwani University also have inexpensive pricing.
2) Bachelor of Law
Students interested in studying at Daystar University’s Bachelor of Law program will need to pay Ksh335,000, which is the highest rate available in comparison to Mount Kenya University’s Ksh170,000 fees.
The cheapest rates are offered by Chuka University, Kenyatta University, and Maseno at Ksh183,000, Ksh183,600, and Ksh183,600, respectively.
The annual tuition at Embu University is Ksh183,600; the first and second semester costs are Ksh23,000 and Ksh19,000, respectively.
To study law at UoN, a student must spend Ksh 221,850 per year. A mean grade of B is the required cluster point for students wishing to pursue a legal education.
3) Bachelor of Education Arts
The Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology is the university with the lowest tuition for this course, at Ksh 82,350.
The same program is available at Kisii University for Ksh 283,135. The details were made available to the public when the portal launched.
The tuition at KCA University is Ksh88,540, whereas that at Mount Kenya University is Ksh105,000.
The cost of the course at Kenyatta University is Ksh183,600 each year.
4) Bachelor of Commerce
When looking for candidates who want to pursue careers in business management, B.COM is one of the most marketable degrees. A mean grade of C and an A or B in math are needed to reach the cluster point threshold.
The cost of the study at Pan Africa Christian University is Ksh 312,000 per year, while the lowest cost is Ksh 78,600 at Management University of Africa.
The course costs Ksh 86,200 at Lukenya University, Ksh 105,000 at Mount Kenya University, Ksh 130,600 at Zetech University, and Ksh 132,000 at Gretsa University.
On the other side, the University of Nairobi charges Ksh220,150 for the first academic year to take the course.
5) Bachelor of Engineering
Across all universities offering the degree programs, students who want to pursue civil engineering as well as electrical engineering will need to fork over an average of Ksh 300,000.
